McDonald's Achieves Brand Awareness in Hungary
McDonald's is a multinational well-known food chain restaurant, but even a franchise with worldwide recognition needs to use digital marketing solutions to stay relevant in today’s market. Our campaign used Twitter to establish awareness about the loyalty campaign. Previously, McDonald’s didn’t have a presence on Hungarian Twitter, with combined efforts on Twitter, Httpool has enabled McDonalds to achieve admirable results to continue on their journey.

The Objective
McDonald’s needed to build awareness surrounding its new loyalty campaign available on their app, as well as improve traffic from social media to the landing page, and increase the reachability of their advertising efforts within the Hungarian market. Lolisting the support of Httpool by Aleph, McDonalds wanted to reach a broad target audience, represented by 18 to 49 year olds, as well as parents between 25 to 45 years of age.
The McDonalds campaign prompted the audience to collect points, which could then be accumulated for discounts. Without creating sufficient campaign awareness, it was clear that the ability to convert customers would be near to impossible. Thus, Httpool by Aleph focused their efforts on recognition and driving customers to the adviser's landing page.

The Solutions
Httpool by Aleph connected with the local agency to conduct an awareness campaign on Twitter for McDonald’s. This was not only the first McDonald’s advertising effort on Hungarian Twitter, but also a fantastic opportunity to connect with a local agency looking for new exposure areas, and delivered impressive results. Httpool organized and planned the whole campaign and the agency was responsible for its management. The campaign ran for two months with a short break time midway through. The first ads appeared on Twitter from the 8th of June to 30th, and again live from mid August.
Httpool by Aleph together with the local agency used promoted posts. This advertising product positions branded content among the in-feed Tweets and between replies.

The Results
The Hungarian audience doubled in size on Twitter following the campaign. The awareness campaign also attained 1,614,016 impressions, resulting in 4,121 clicks leading to the advertiser’s page. Httpool by Aleph guided the local agency from opening a Twitter account for McDonald’s, to setting up a campaign on the platform, and ultimately executing the efforts. Both the client and agency were satisfied with Httpool by Aleph’s support.
